Become a Host/Bartender on our Amsterdam Canal Cruises in 2026!

In February, we’ll start recruiting for the new season, with a planned start in March 2026. You can already apply now, and we’ll get in touch with you as soon as the recruitment process begins.

You’ll mainly work on weekends, which form the basis of your schedule. On weekdays, additional shifts may occasionally be available, depending on tourism and weather conditions. About Flagship Amsterdam

Flagship Amsterdam is a young, fast-growing canal cruise company located in the heart of Amsterdam. We offer both public and private cruises on our beautiful open boats and classic saloon boats. What started in 2017 with just three boats has now grown to a fleet of over 60 boats, and we continue to expand! Every year, we welcome guests from more than 55 different countries, and we operate year-round. This is made possible by our young and ambitious team of over 400 (seasonal) employees.

Flagship Amsterdam consists of nine different entities, such as Voyage Amsterdam and Captain Jack. Each entity has unique products and caters to a specific target audience. We have a strong growth mindset and are constantly seeking new opportunities to further strengthen our position in the market.

What will you be doing?

The best way to experience Amsterdam is, of course, from the water. As a host at Flagship Amsterdam, you’re the face of our company, ensuring our guests have an unforgettable cruise. During the tour, you’ll serve them a delicious drink, they’ll enjoy the stunning views of the Amsterdam canals, and together with the captain, you’ll share interesting stories about the city.

Your responsibilities

• Welcoming guests on board;

• Entertaining guests with stories about Amsterdam (no worries, we’ll teach you everything you need to know)

• Serve and sell: Provide guests with a selection of drinks (beer, soda, wine, cocktails) while encouraging upgrades and additional purchases to enhance their experience;

• Processing payments at the end of the tour.

We offer a flexible job with a strong focus on weekends. During weekdays, our scheduling depends on tourism and weather conditions, and we plan shifts based on expected demand. This means you’ll have free time during the week for your studies or other activities. Looking for more hours? Position requirements

• You are available on weekends (this forms the basis of your work schedule).

• You’re available for evenings, high-season and holidays;

• You’re hospitable, outgoing, and have excellent people skills;

• You have a good command of the English language (Dutch is a plus);

• You are a commercial talent, who naturally encourage guests to try additional services, upgrade their experience, or make special purchases, all while maintaining a friendly, enjoyable atmosphere;

• Experience in hospitality is a plus;

• You’re 18 years or older.
