About Flagship Amsterdam

Flagship Amsterdam is a young, fast-growing shipping company in the heart of Amsterdam. We offer both public and private cruises on our beautiful open sloops and classic salon boats. What started in 2017 with just three boats has now grown to a fleet of more than 60, and we continue to expand! Every year, we welcome guests from over 55 different countries, and we operate all year round. We do this with a young and ambitious team of more than 400 (seasonal) employees.

Flagship Amsterdam now consists of nine different entities, such as Voyage Amsterdam and Captain Jack. Each of these entities offers a unique product and serves specific target groups. We have a true growth mindset and are constantly looking for new opportunities to strengthen our position in the market.

What will you do?

As a Runner, you will support the Operational Managers with daily tasks that are essential to the operations of Flagship Amsterdam and Amsterdam Boat Experience. This is an active and physically demanding role that requires you to move around the city a lot. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supplying our boats and locations;

• Lifting and moving crates and other heavy materials;

• Running errands, such as picking up extra ice or mint;

• Preparing and delivering meals for hosts, skippers, and dock staff;

• Preparing and delivering barbecue boxes;

• Performing other logistical and support tasks in the office and on the boats.

Important: This is a physically demanding job that involves a lot of lifting and active work. Additionally, you must be comfortable cycling through Amsterdam in all weather conditions.

Position requirements

• You are between 16 - 18 years old;

• You are available on weekends and more frequently during holidays;

• You are physically strong and willing to do heavy work, such as lifting crates and staying active for extended periods;

• You are an experienced cyclist and feel comfortable and safe in traffic, regardless of weather conditions;

• You live in Amsterdam or the surrounding area;

• You speak Dutch and/or English;

• You are motivated and have a hands-on mentality.
