About Flagship

Flagship Amsterdam is a young, fast-growing canal cruise company located in the heart of Amsterdam. We offer both public and private cruises on our beautiful open boats and classic saloon boats. What started in 2017 with just three boats has now grown to a fleet of over 60 boats, and we continue to expand! Every year, we welcome guests from more than 55 different countries, and we operate year-round. This is made possible by our young and ambitious team of over 400 (seasonal) employees.

Flagship Amsterdam consists of nine different entities, such as Voyage Amsterdam and Captain Jack. Each entity has unique products and caters to a specific target audience. What will you do?

As a dock worker, you are the face of Flagship Amsterdam and play a key role in creating an unforgettable experience for our guests. You are the first point of contact, offering a warm welcome along the canals where our boats depart. Additionally, you’ll inform guests in a fun and engaging way about our tours and extra options, such as bike tours or other activities.

During your workday, you will:

• Welcome and excite guests;

• Check tickets and guide guests to the correct boat;

• Provide information about departure times and additional tours;

• Promote our services and tours in an appealing way to potential guests;

• Act as the link between the captains, hosts, and guests;

• Assist guests with boarding and disembarking.

We are looking for a quay steward who:

• Is available at least 2 days a week starting in March, including at least one weekend day;

• Is willing to work in the evenings;

• Has strong communication skills and can convey information clearly and warmly to guests;

• Can work independently and flexibly, with a proactive and hands-on attitude;

• Preferably has experience in hospitality (not required);

• Speaks English fluently (Dutch is a plus but not mandatory);

• Is 18 years or older and lives in or near Amsterdam.
