Flagship Amsterdam is a young, fast-growing canal cruise company located in the heart of Amsterdam. We offer both public and private cruises on our beautiful open boats and classic saloon boats. What started in 2017 with just three boats has now grown to a fleet of over 60 boats, and we continue to expand! Every year, we welcome guests from more than 55 different countries, and we operate year-round. This is made possible by our young and ambitious team of over 400 (seasonal) employees.

Flagship Amsterdam consists of nine different entities, such as Voyage Amsterdam and Captain Jack. Each entity has unique products and caters to a specific target audience. About the Job

Are you looking for a fun and dynamic role full of variety and energy? Starting mid-November 2025, we are looking for quay stewards to join our team during the Amsterdam Light Festival.

As a quay steward, you are the first point of contact for our guests and make sure they have a fantastic first impression. You welcome visitors with a smile, assist them in boarding the right boat, and share insider tips about Amsterdam. No two days are the same: you’ll be working at different locations along the canals in teams of 6–8 people.

Most importantly: you get the freedom to use your enthusiasm and cheerful personality!

What You'll Be Doing

• Promoting our experiences with enthusiasm (rewarded with a walk-in bonus);

• Welcoming guests and be the friendly face that greets them;

• Checking tickets, ensuring smooth boarding and directing them to the right boat;

• Informing guests in a fun and engaging way about (extra) tours and extra options, such as our bike tours or other activities;

• Communicate between skippers, hosts, and guests to ensure a seamless operation;

• Ensuring guests get on and off the boats safely while keeping the process efficient.

Who You Are

• Available at least 2 days per week, including at least one weekend day;

• Willing to work on at least one public holiday (Christmas Day, Boxing Day, or New Year’s Day) – for which you’ll receive 150% pay;

• Flexible with working hours: you don’t mind working evenings (usually from 15:30 to 23:00);

• Spontaneous, proactive, hands-on, and always full of positive energy;

• Strong communication skills in English (bonus points if you also speak Dutch or other languages);

• A true team player who thrives in a dynamic outdoor environment;

• Someone who enjoys variety and new challenges;

• At least 18 years old and living in (or near) Amsterdam.
