Flagship Amsterdam is a young and rapidly growing shipping company in the center of Amsterdam. We offer both public cruises and private tours on our beautiful open sloops and classic salon boats. We started in 2017 with three boats, have since grown to more than 53 boats, and we're still expanding! Annually, we welcome people from over 55 nationalities, cruising throughout the year with the help of our young and ambitious team, consisting of more than 400 (seasonal) employees.

What are you going to do?

We are looking for an experienced and skilled painter to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing and applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces, according to project specifications. Particularly on and around ships of the own fleet. We are seeking someone with an eye for detail, who can work efficiently and has a good sense of color and design.

• Preparing surfaces for painting, such as sanding, priming, and filling;
• Preparing damaged surfaces such as polyester and steel;
• Applying paint, varnish, and other finishing materials using brushes, rollers, or spray guns;
• Mixing and matching colors to achieve the desired result;
• Following safety guidelines and using appropriate protective equipment;
• Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment;
• Communicating effectively to ensure project requirements are met;
• Accurately tracking materials used and work performed.

What we offer:

• 24 to 40 hours per week;
• Salary between €2500-€3000 based on 40 hours per week (depending on your experience);
• Working days from Monday to Friday between 09:00 – 17:00;

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience as a painter;
• Proficiency in various painting techniques;
• Knowledge of paint mixing and matching;
• Good eye for detail;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• MBO-level education;
• Excellent in Dutch and/or English language;
• Resident of Amsterdam or surrounding area.
