Event Preparation Coordinator Amsterdam – Rederij Aemstelland

What will you do

As an Event Preparation Coordinator at Rederij Aemstelland in Amsterdam, you are responsible for preparing our luxury salon boats for a wide range of cruises and events. From intimate dinners to weddings and corporate receptions, you ensure that every boat is perfectly styled and fully prepared before guests arrive.

You work in a practical, hands-on role and are often present on the boats and at the harbour. Together with skippers and colleagues, you make sure each cruise starts in a well-prepared, elegant setting and that guests enjoy a premium experience on the water.

Location: Amsterdam
Contract: Part-time to full-time (32–40 hours per week)

Salary: €2.549 based on 40 hours a week
Working hours: Usually between 09:00 and 18:00, including weekends

Your responsibilities

As an Event Preparation Coordinator, you are responsible for the presentation and preparation of our fleet. Your tasks include, among others:

• Setting up elegant table arrangements, including flowers, candles and decorative elements;

• Selecting and placing tableware, glassware and cutlery;

• Restocking supplies on board the boats;

• Managing stock levels at the office;

• Keeping the fleet representative at all times;

• Carrying out light maintenance tasks;

• Receiving orders and preparing return goods;

• Assisting skippers during arrival and departure;

• Contributing to a safe, tidy and pleasant working environment.

Requirements

You are practical, detail-oriented and enjoy creating a perfect setting for guests. In addition, you recognise yourself in the following:

• You speak Dutch and/or English;

• You are at least 18 years old;

• You are available for 30–40 hours per week;

• You are available to work on weekends;

• Experience in hospitality is a plus;

• You have an eye for detail and work in a structured way;

• You are motivated and enjoy hands-on work;

• You have a flexible attitude.
