Flagship Amsterdam is a young and rapidly growing boating company located in the heart of Amsterdam. We offer both public and private canal tours on our beautiful open boats and classic salon boats. What started in 2017 with just three boats has now grown into a fleet of over 60 boats, and we continue to expand! Every year, we welcome guests from more than 55 different countries, and we operate all year round. We do this with a young and ambitious team of over 800 (seasonal) employees.

Flagship Amsterdam is expanding its experience offering with a new activity: The Flagship Stroopwafel Experience. In the heart of Amsterdam, on the Prinsengracht, we welcome visitors for an interactive workshop centered around the traditional Dutch stroopwafel. With this workshop, we offer visitors an additional opportunity to actively engage in a truly Dutch experience.

What will you be doing?

As Host, you are responsible for guiding the stroopwafel workshop and creating an enjoyable experience for our guests. You will welcome visitors, explain the activity, and guide them step-by-step as they make their own stroopwafel. You will also take care of preparation, cleaning, and the overall appearance of the location.

Your responsibilities

• Welcoming and guiding guests throughout the 45-minute workshop;

• Explaining the history and preparation of the stroopwafel;

• Preparing ingredients and work materials;

• Maintaining the workspace and following hygiene guidelines;

• Handling sales of souvenirs and extras (such as Polaroid photos or stroopwafel tins);

• Assisting with opening and closing procedures of the location.

Position requirements

• You are available at least two days a week, including at least one weekend day;

• You’re available for evenings, high-season and holidays;

• You’re hospitable, outgoing, and have excellent people skills;

• You have a good command of the English language (Dutch is a plus);

• You are a commercial talent, who naturally encourage guests to try additional services, upgrade their experience, or make special purchases, all while maintaining a friendly, enjoyable atmosphere;

• Experience in hospitality is a plus;

• You’re 18 years or older.
